Our editorial responsibility

El Roi Digital Ministries is responsible for every resource published on this website. Research tools may help us organize material, but a human editor determines the scope, checks the supporting sources, evaluates uncertainty, and approves the final language before publication. Our goal is not to produce the largest number of pages. It is to publish work that helps readers understand a subject and make thoughtful decisions.

Unless an individual author is named, the author is El Roi Digital Ministries. Organizational leadership and research direction are described on the Michael Acosta Gatica leadership and research profile.

How research is developed

1. Define the question. Each guide begins with a clear reader need and a limited research scope.
2. Prioritize appropriate sources. Biblical studies begin with the relevant text and manuscript evidence, then use recognized reference works, scholarly books, academic articles, institutional collections, and official church documents where appropriate. Technology guides prioritize official documentation, standards, release notes, and firsthand use.
3. Compare claims. Important dates, attributions, textual relationships, product capabilities, and disputed interpretations are checked against more than one reliable source whenever possible.
4. Mark uncertainty. Estimates, scholarly disagreements, denominational differences, and limitations of the surviving evidence are presented as uncertainty rather than hidden behind false precision.
5. Write for comprehension. Technical or academic information is translated into clear language without pretending that complex questions have simple answers.
6. Review and update. The finished page is checked for source accuracy, internal consistency, working links, readable mobile presentation, and appropriate publication metadata.

Biblical and historical study standards

Our biblical studies distinguish between the wording of a text, later interpretation, and modern application. We identify the languages and principal manuscript traditions that preserve a work, give composition dates as responsible ranges when exact dates are uncertain, and distinguish traditional authorship from modern scholarly proposals.

Discussions of canon state which communities receive a work as Scripture rather than presenting one tradition as universal. Studies involving the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition, First Enoch, Jubilees, or related literature are not described as official translations or official church publications unless written authorization is received. Scripture quotations and modern translations are used within applicable copyright and quotation limits.

Technology guides and product recommendations

Technology articles distinguish firsthand experience from information drawn from official documentation or other sources. When El Roi Digital Ministries has used a product in a real ministry setting, we explain what was used, what worked, what was difficult, and which circumstances may produce a different result. We aim to include tradeoffs, setup requirements, accessibility and volunteer concerns, realistic cost considerations, and lower-cost alternatives where they are relevant.

Recommendations are not paid placement unless a disclosure says otherwise. If affiliate links are introduced in the future, the relationship will be disclosed near the recommendation and will not change the price paid by the reader.

How artificial intelligence may assist

AI tools may be used to organize research questions, compare terminology, locate possible sources, produce preliminary outlines, identify inconsistencies, or help edit for clarity. AI output is never treated as a source or scholarly authority. Citations must point to material a reader can evaluate, not to an AI answer.

Before publication, a human reviewer checks source identity, relevance, dates, quotation accuracy, links, and the relationship between each citation and the claim it supports. Unsupported claims and citations that cannot be verified are removed. The ministry remains responsible for the final publication.

Citations, links, and source transparency

Long-form research pages include a sources or bibliography section when the subject requires it. Citations are chosen to help readers locate the supporting work, with preference for primary sources, official documentation, academic publishers, recognized institutions, and stable digital collections. Links are descriptive and are reviewed for relevance; a link does not imply endorsement of every view expressed by an outside source.

Corrections and meaningful updates

Substantive corrections are made as soon as reasonably possible. Updated pages display a review or modification date when the change affects the article's research, conclusions, recommendations, or clarity. Minor spelling and formatting changes may be made without a separate correction note.

Advertising and editorial independence

Advertising supports the cost of publishing free resources but does not determine an article's conclusions. Advertising is kept separate from navigation, downloadable ministry materials, legal notices, forms, and other utility experiences. Sponsored content, if ever accepted, will be labeled clearly.
