Readable, citation-based studies that identify manuscripts, composition, structure, theology, reception, and scholarly disagreement.
Careful public education about the Ethiopian Orthodox canon and related texts without flattening distinct traditions or claiming expertise not held.
Research workflows in which machine-generated candidates remain provisional until qualified human reviewers examine, discuss, and approve them.
Structured citations, version history, evidence labels, uncertainty tracking, and durable records that make editorial decisions reviewable.
Working research title: Human-in-the-Loop AI Translation and Evaluation of the 2007 Ethiopian Millennium Amharic Bible
El Roi Digital Ministries is planning a secure research platform for a possible, permission-based English translation study of the 2007 Ethiopian Millennium Amharic 81-book Bible, currently identified in the project record as YouVersion version ID 3200. The source edition is being considered only; the Bible Society of Ethiopia has been contacted regarding rights and permissions.
If authorization is received, artificial intelligence and Google Cloud services would help generate preliminary literal and readable candidates, identify uncertainty, compare terminology, and organize reviewer discussion. Every candidate would remain provisional until qualified Amharic, Ge'ez, biblical, Ethiopian Orthodox, and English-language reviewers complete a documented, verse-level process.
AI accelerates analysis; experts authorize conclusions.
Confirm written authorization, scope, storage rules, and publication rights before ingesting protected source text.
Assign each passage a stable record for source text, candidates, notes, terminology, citations, and review history.
Generate literal and readable candidates, uncertainty flags, and terminology comparisons as research aids rather than final translations.
Route passages to reviewers with the relevant Amharic, Ge'ez, biblical, Ethiopian Orthodox, and English editorial competence.
Record comments, disagreements, revisions, and formal approval with names, dates, and complete version history.
Release only material allowed by the rights holder and clearly identify the project, method, reviewers, and limitations.
Identify primary texts, manuscripts, institutional records, and modern scholarship so readers can trace claims.
Separate documented facts, scholarly consensus, debated interpretations, organizational plans, and future possibilities.
Preserve change history, reviewer comments, citation context, and approval records rather than overwriting difficult decisions.
Do not imply language fluency, academic rank, ecclesial authority, or institutional endorsement that has not been documented.
El Roi Digital Ministries publishes these studies as organizational research resources under Michael's research and editorial direction.
Begins with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church's published English list and explains naming, grouping, and canon differences with appropriate caution.
A source-based introduction to First Enoch's composite formation, Aramaic and Ge'ez preservation, structure, themes, and reception.
Ranks direct quotation, strong relationships, shared tradition, and debated parallels across Genesis, Daniel, Jude, and other biblical texts.
Examines Jubilees as a Second Temple retelling of Genesis and early Exodus, including its Hebrew witnesses, Ge'ez preservation, and canonical reception.
Distinguishes First Meqabyan from Greek 1 Maccabees while examining resistance, resurrection, justice, kingship, and manuscript evidence.
Michael oversees organizational strategy, ministry services, digital systems, public research standards, project planning, and collaboration development.
