Ethiopian Millennium Bible English Translation Research Project
Working research title: Human-in-the-Loop AI Translation and Evaluation of the 2007 Ethiopian Millennium Amharic Bible
El Roi Digital Ministries is planning a secure research platform for a possible, permission-based English translation study of the 2007 Ethiopian Millennium Amharic 81-book Bible, currently identified in the project record as YouVersion version ID 3200. The source edition is being considered only; the Bible Society of Ethiopia has been contacted regarding rights and permissions.
If authorization is received, artificial intelligence and Google Cloud services would help generate preliminary literal and readable candidates, identify uncertainty, compare terminology, and organize reviewer discussion. Every candidate would remain provisional until qualified Amharic, Ge'ez, biblical, Ethiopian Orthodox, and English-language reviewers complete a documented, verse-level process.
