Today’s Scripture
The Lord has told you, human, what is good;
— Micah 6:8 (NCV)
he has told you what he wants from you:
to do what is right to other people,
love being kind to others,
and live humbly, obeying your God.

Today’s Encouragement
Micah 6:8 summarizes a life shaped by covenant faithfulness: do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. The verse challenges a faith that is only outward or ceremonial. Genuine devotion should change how we treat people, how we use power, how we respond with mercy, and how closely we walk with God.
Inspirational Word
It is possible to become so focused on appearing spiritual that we neglect the kind of life God actually desires. Micah 6 confronts empty religion and brings the focus back to character and relationship: doing what is right, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God.
Justice asks whether we treat people rightly. Mercy asks whether compassion shapes our response to weakness and failure. Humility reminds us that we walk with God rather than placing ourselves at the center.
These are not competing values. Biblical justice without mercy becomes harsh. Mercy without truth can become sentimentality. And both require humility because we are accountable to God. Today, look for a practical place to live the verse. Treat someone fairly when it costs you. Choose mercy when you could simply prove a point. Admit when you are wrong. Walk with God in the ordinary decisions that reveal who you are becoming.

Today’s Prayer
Lord, teach me to do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Let my faith be visible in the way I treat people and respond to Your direction. Amen.
